Everything you might want to ask

About WillSafe UK

Who are you?+

WillSafe UK is a trading name of WSC Group Ltd, a UK company. We sell professionally drafted self-help templates for estate planning in England & Wales.

Are you solicitors?+

No. We are not solicitors and we do not provide legal advice. Our products are self-help templates. Will-writing is not a reserved legal activity in England & Wales, so anyone can produce their own Will without a solicitor.

Is this legal advice?+

No. We can explain how Wills and LPAs work in plain English, but we cannot advise you on your personal circumstances. For complex estates, blended families, business assets or foreign property, please speak to a solicitor.

Your Will

Is my Will legally valid?+

The templates are drafted in accordance with the Wills Act 1837. Validity depends on you signing and witnessing it correctly, which our guide walks you through step by step.

Can I change my Will later?+

Yes. Either write a new Will (best option, as it revokes the old one) or add a Codicil (a short amendment document). Our guide covers both.

Do I need to register my Will?+

No. There is no central Will register you must use. You can store it at home, with a solicitor, or pay the government for safe storage at HMCTS.

What if I get married?+

Under s18 Wills Act 1837, marriage revokes any Will made before it, unless the Will expressly states it's made 'in contemplation of' that marriage. Our guide covers this and we include contemplation-of-marriage clause language.

What if I get divorced?+

Divorce does not revoke your Will, but any gift or appointment of your former spouse is treated as if they had died on the date of the divorce (s18A Wills Act 1837). You should write a new Will after divorce.

Your order

How do I get my files?+

Instantly. A confirmation email with your download links lands within 60 seconds of paying. Links last 7 days; email us if you need a re-send.

What format are the files?+

Two formats per kit: a professionally typeset PDF for printing, and an editable Microsoft Word (.docx) file if you'd rather type directly into the template.

Can I get a refund?+

Yes. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day cancellation right which is waived once you begin downloading. If you have not downloaded, we offer a 30-day goodwill refund window. See our refund policy.

Which payment methods do you accept?+

Apple Pay, Google Pay, Visa, Mastercard, Amex and Klarna. All via Stripe.

LPAs and probate

Do you submit LPAs for me?+

No. Our LPA Guidance Pack walks you through the process step by step; you submit the official LP1F and LP1H forms to the Office of the Public Guardian yourself. This keeps the price low and keeps you fully in control.

Do you apply for probate?+

No. Applying for a Grant of Probate is a reserved legal activity. Only solicitors and a handful of other authorised professionals can do it for you. Our Executor Guide explains when probate is needed and points you to gov.uk for the application.
